'Lem' - Stage IV Lung Cancer
'Lem', a gentle but poor Thai villager, whose husband died from lung cancer, was herself diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, a year later. The tragedy is 'Lem' never smoked. Given 6 months to live and sent home to die, with no family support, nutritional therapy and small donations have helped stabilize her. Small contributions make a huge difference to her quality of life.
When animal welfare activists succeeded in taking dog meat off the menu in Thailand, they had no idea the country would be overrun by millions of stray dogs. Starving, injured and killed on the roads, they are at high risk. Overwhelmed animal rescue groups like 'Rescue Paws' need all the help they can get.
